What is Proconsheet®
Proconsheet® is a special laminated sheet made of heat-treated non-woven fabric made of polypropylene or the like that allows only water and air to pass through. It is an innovative tool for civil engineering and construction sites that can promptly and appropriately promote the hydration reaction during the concrete placing and draw out the original strength of the concrete itself simply by pasting it to the formwork.

Proconsheet® not only provides efficient curing, but also reduces air bubbles and scars from the surface of the concrete through an appropriate hydration reaction, creating a dense surface. The dense structure lowers the water absorption rate of the concrete and suppresses external factors of deterioration such as chlorine diffusion, freeze resistance, bacterial growth, and acid rain, creating a highly durable concrete.

Quality produced by Proconsheet®
The photo and data on the left are a comparison of the surface of a concrete piece being cut into a circle 1,000 rotation with a test cutter. Differences in hardness can be confirmed visually as well as density differences. At the same time, we conducted a water absorption test according to JSCE-K572-6.4, Japan Society of Civil Engineers, demonstrating a low water absorption and water permeability of about 45% compared to concrete without using Proconsheet® for 7-day water immersion. It is proof of the high quality of the concrete by the Proconsheet®.
Easy to use and environmentally friendly
Stripping agents (especially mineral oils), which are regarded as issues of spilling into the soil, have an adverse effect on concrete finishing. Proconsheet® does not require the use of a release agent in the formwork. For this reason, it can be used safely at civil engineering and construction sites used outdoors such as beside rivers and seas. The Proconsheet® can be used multiple times after dismantling. This also saves labor and reduces costs.
Grooves 10 times deeper than the surface by the ultra-high pressure water cleaning strongly attach the tile base mortar
Proconsheet® for tile base does not need to be treated with a release agent on the formwork as in general use, and ultra-high pressure water cleaning after placing is unnecessary. By not using a release agent that can cause interfacial peeling of the tile substrate, the risk of peeling and peeling of the tile wall will be reduced. In addition, the unevenness of the sheet surface will increase the adhesion area of the undercoat and increase adhesion. Create grooves on the concrete surface.
Grooves by the unevenness with a depth of 0.5 mm-2 mm and a pitch of about 4 mm raise the adhesion strength with mortar and undercoat to about 2-2.5 times (according to our research) compared to the surface treated with ultra-high pressure water cleaning. At the same time, it also effectively reduces cracks due to shrinkage that occurs when mortar is dried.
Not only greatly improving the durability of the tile wall and mortar wall in basing on the high-density concrete surface, but also Proconsheet® is to save labor, reduce costs and shorten the construction period by the simplified work.
